Technical Lead – Backend

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead – Backend to lead backend development for a large-scale CMS platform. The role involves migrating an existing AEM-based website to a self-developed CMS, driving architecture, performance, and team execution.

Responsibilities

Lead backend development for CMS platforms and large-scale enterprise applications

Technically own the migration from AEM to a custom-built CMS

Design, develop, and review RESTful APIs and backend services

Lead and mentor backend engineers; provide technical guidance and best practices

Drive microservices architecture (MSA) design and implementation

Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of backend systems

Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish and improve CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

Skills & Experience Required:

Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, JPA, SQL
Kotlin experience is a plus (not mandatory)
Deep understanding of the JVM ecosystem (memory management, GC, performance tuning)
Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Technical Lead / Team Lead
Proven experience leading backend teams in complex projects
Hands-on experience in CMS development or operations (e.g., WordPress or similar)
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
Strong experience in RESTful API design and development
Experience in designing and building microservice-based architectures
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices

Good to Have:

Experience working on high-traffic, scalable platforms
Exposure to cloud-native architectures
