Quality Engineering Lead – Automation, API & Integration Testing
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineering Lead to define and drive quality strategy across enterprise SaaS applications, APIs, integrations, and web platforms. The role will lead end-to-end testing, automation, release readiness, defect management, and QA delivery while mentoring team members and partnering closely with product, engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, and automation, including experience in a QA Lead or Quality Engineering Lead capacity.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Karate, JUnit, Gradle, and IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA or Visual Studio Code.
• Proven expertise in API and integration testing using REST, SOAP, Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, and SQL.
• Experience testing enterprise SaaS, cloud, or large-scale web applications.
• Strong understanding of test design, automation frameworks, BDD, regression strategy, defect management, and release processes.
• Experience with Jira, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end test delivery, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and provide clear status and risk reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute the overall QA and test-automation strategy for UI, API, integration, system, regression, smoke, and UAT testing.
• Lead test planning, effort estimation, scope prioritization, execution tracking, defect triage, and release sign-off.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and regression suites using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Karate, JUnit, and related tools.
• Validate REST and SOAP APIs, web services, microservices, and cross-system integrations using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, and SQL.
• Ensure quality coverage for enterprise SaaS and cloud applications, including complex configuration, master data, transactional data, and environment dependencies.
• Drive integration testing across upstream and downstream systems, including interface validation, data mapping, error handling, security, and end-to-end business flows.
• Partner with developers, solution architects, product owners, and business users to clarify requirements, identify risks, and resolve root causes.
• Own defect lifecycle management and quality metrics, including defect leakage, execution health, pass rates, and release readiness.
• Support CI/CD-enabled testing through Git, Jenkins, Gradle, and related DevOps tools.
• Establish and maintain reusable test data, synthetic data, and environment-aware testing approaches to enable repeatable and scalable execution.
• Lead QA team members through task allocation, mentoring, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement initiatives.
